Mixmasters at the Belmont Lounge, Elliotborough's newest Bar
This well stocked bar with a focus on locals, F&B, and friends of the owner Mickey Moran. Moran, self described lifer F&B guy, renovated the space which was formerly a kitchen and bath fixture store. The concept is what the staff calls a "liquor lab" and the focus is craft cocktails. There is no draft beer here (we've got plenty of that already right?) but there is a list of wine and beer along with specialty mixed drinks such as Corpse Reviver No. 2. It has Cointreau, gin, Lillet Blanc, a dash of absinthe, and lemon. It's known as a hangover cure, hence, the name. They also have small batch bourbons and scotch which they serve with giant ice cubes to prevent a watered down drink. The quality of the drink is all about the ingredients, so these mixologists squeeze fresh fruit juice for each drink, and make bitters, tonic water and ginger beer in house. With a big city feel, upscale and off the beaten path libations, this is destined to become a favorite of the Elliotborough watering holes!
