The school will add classes as the existing students ‘age up’. Mitchell is also accepting applications for its excellent Math & Science program in the elementary grades. For both Montessori and Math & Science programs, priority is given to applicants in the attendance zone, which includes most of our neighborhood.Neighbors Kirsty Sutton and Ian Tomlinson have been consistently impressed by Mitchell since they had their daughter enroll in the Montessori preschool last year. Kirsty says “The teachers are wonderful, the facility and programs excellent, and the parents really committed to the continued growth of the program. Free, public Montessori is REALLY hard to find, we we feel lucky to be a part of this exciting new ‘school within a school’ and definitely encourage others to apply”Anyone interested can call the principal, Dirk Bedford, at the school, at 843.724.7261. Kirsty is also happy to answer questions about Mitchell or Montessori in general and she can be reached at 843.532.3324.
