What do Pumpkins and Real Estate Have in Common aka The Pumpkin Phenomenon

Today, as a last minute effort to get into the spirit of one of my favorite holidays, I stopped into my closest pumpkin emporium. Every year cute kids and happy adults crowd the church grounds in the Avondale neighborhood (West of the Ashley River from downtown Charleston) to peruse this years pumpkin harvest. Today after selecting 4 from the $15 row, and lugging them into a wheel barrow up to the payment tent, I was confronted by a grinning senior citizen rife with life knowledge. "If you wait till Nov 1st those will be free" he quipped, loving the dilemma he had put me in. I snarked back, "I guess timing is everything". This made me think of the real estate market all the home.
