Elliotborough Cannonborough B&B zoning makes the news

Click here to read the new article in the Post and Courier The meeting is tonight (Weds Dec 15th) at 75 Calhoun St at 5pm.  There has been a woman running around creating a misconception that this zoning is a bad thing for the neighborhood, this woman is not a resident or business owner in Cannon or Elliotborough.  She is sadly uninformed but typically running her mouth regardless.  I have heard her main fear is that evil developers might build 50 room boutique hotels in the neighborhood (shudder, moan).  The idea of visitors perusing our shops, cafes, restaurants and patronizing our salons, and massage therapists is just horrifying.   Some of these visitors might regretfully fall in love with some of our derelict buildings and actually invest in the neighborhood.  So now that you are aware of the negative side of the issue, feel free to come voice your opinion at tonight's meeting.
