Spring St has The Remedy (All local food market and then some)!

If you would like to buy local organic meat and produce on other days of the week besides Saturday's farmer's market, now you can!  Billy Pope and Adaline Thomas are opening "The Remedy".  The Remedy is a bite sized bodega at 162 Spring St just a few doors east of President.  They are doing a wonderful job getting set up and even had some friends over to celebrate on Saturday.  The Remedy Market on Spring, a spot that will exclusively carry locally made products, produce, and more is nearly complete.   They have a great cast of favorite local purveyors like 3.14 Pie.  The little hot spot is not only a market, but a place to pick up three meals if you are in a rush, a great alternative to fast food. Coffee and specialty teas will be served all day long, the Bagel Shop will be providing breakfast sandwiches, if you have a specialty food item get in touch, they still have some space on their shelves and coolers for local goodness.The owners commitment to showcasing local talent does not only pertain to food.  Here Adaline Thomas helps artist Sarah Louise Exell install her art on the walls.  They will have rotating shows of local art as well.  To see Sarah's work stop by the Remedy or check her art out online at www.sarahexell.com
